Earth Pathways Showcase

This morning I am nature-nurtured, land-loved, woods-woken, my first breath wind-swept, first words bird-spoken.
My face bathed in air and mist,

my hair twig-tugged, bramble-brushed, leaf-kissed.
Sleep-walking feet

tree-root-tripped, ivy-gripped,

dragging me down

into this body, onto this ground,

into this honey-dappled, river-rushed, mind-hushed now.

And so I arrive in this pin-tingling skin -

Nettles can sting even through jeans -

And my whole body sings and the whole world replies:
I am alive!

I am alive!

We are alive!

Listen! She is calling you!
In the leap of your heart
at the sight of a star-filled sky,
in your thirst for darkness and silence.
In the deep longing that causes you
to reach out your arms and try and touch
the full moon with your heart.
She speaks to you
through whispering trees
and half-remembered dreams,
through bird-song and wolf-howl.
She wants you to know that you are
as wild and alive and as beautiful
as the whole of Her creation.
She wants you to know that you are loved,
that you are love.
She longs for the truth of all that you are
just as you long for Her...
Listen! She is calling you home
to yourself.
